some of my class and I are practising for Athletics so we can go to zones. My goal is to do well at zones for discus.   I am so excited to go zones next week it is at nga puna wai and our parents are taking us to wish me luck. thanks for reading.

For the past three days we have been doing our own report writing and I’ve been doing a report writing about… Orangutans I have tried my best to do this writing so I hope you like it.

Orangutans are really smart monkeys. They have really high intelligence. Did you know that Orangutans only live up to 35 to 40 years old?. Did you know one of their preferred foods is the fruit of the Durian Tree, which has a very strong smell and tastes somewhat like sweet, cheesy, garlic custard? 

Did you ever realize why orangutans have orange fur? If you don’t, I will tell you. The orange-reddish brown coloured fur of the orangutan is a result of sunlight reflecting off their fur. In the shade, their tan skin absorbs the light so you only see the dark skin underneath.

What do they eat? Orangutans love to eat these foods as well as Durian leaves, tree bark, roots, insects and sometimes even small mammals like Slow Loris.

Orangutans have heaps of IQ? Did you know that Albert Einstein has 190 IQ and an orangutan has 185 IQ so Albert Einstein has five more IQ than an orangutan?
